Wicca is a neo-pagan religion that practices magick and is a form of witchcraft. Wiccans practice what is known as by cowans as "white magick". In reality, there is no black or white magick, there is magick used for postive purposes, I guess you could say good but I dont want to sound like I'm describing super-powers, and magick used for negative purposes. A color cannot be strictly "good" or "evil". For instance, many people associate the color black with evil because sub-consiously black represents the unknown, the void, a place where anything can happen. Since most humans fear what they do not know they automaicaly see it as "evil", a threat. And white is associated with "good" because it is opposite of black, "evil".
Practioners of Wicca are known as 'Wiccan' or, as Scott Cunninham puts it, the Wicca. Wiccans follow The Rule of Three and The Wiccan Rede. In many books on Wicca now days (and on this site as well) you will see the term Witch substituted for Wiccan, I would just like you to know that Wiccans DO NOT have sole claim over the title of Witch.
Wiccans honor the Goddess and the God; these differ based on tradition and personal feelings of the practioner. While in a coven everyone focuses on the same deity, a member of that coven may have a different patron God/dess. Not only is this okay, but its actualy very common.
Wiccans also celebrate the eight sabbats: Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain. These are explained under Sabbats.
